The Keys offer some of the most varied and exciting saltwater fishing anywhere — from skinny-water flats to deep bluewater — and a salt trip pairs perfectly with a freshwater day on Lake Okeechobee for the complete Florida experience.
Because these are by-request trips, the key is to reach out early with your dates and goals so we can find the right window and the right water.
Flats to Bluewater
The Keys sit between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, so a short run can put you on completely different fishing. Depending on the season and conditions, a trip might focus on:
Inshore & the Flats
Sight-fishing the shallow flats and backcountry for hard-fighting, fly-and-light-tackle favorites — think tarpon, bonefish, redfish, and snook. It’s technical, visual, and thrilling, with protected water available on breezier days.
Nearshore & Patch Reefs
Dependable, family-friendly fishing over patch reefs and hard bottom, with steady action and great eating. Common targets include snapper and grouper, among others.
Offshore & Bluewater
Running out past the reef into the deep blue, where the Gulf Stream pushes pelagic species within reach. Seasonally that can mean mahi (dolphin), sailfish, and other bluewater game — fast, powerful fish and an unforgettable day.
